Brass Dosa Tawa with Insulated handles- All Purpose Pan

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT

Dosa, a popular dish of South India that resembles a thin pancake, is a delicacy everyone in the world enjoys. However, the finesse required to make this makes it truly delicious. Our Dosa Tawa is here to upgrade your cooking game.

The brass dosa tawa from P-TAL makes cooking and eating a memorable experience. The healthy metal keeps the nutrition intact. The size of the tawa makes the cooking of dosas quick and easy. Additionally, P-Tal's Dosa Tawa provides more heat than other non-stick tawa.

P-TAL's 12" dosa tawa should be soaked in oil overnight. This avoids sticking the dosa batter on the tawa, making it glide and fold easily.

Brass Dosa Tawa can cook various dishes, including dosas, pancakes, and Chillas. Since it is tin-coated inside, it is naturally non-stick and enhances the taste.

1. Why is the product tin-coated?

We had our product tested by a food expert, and it is completely safe to make dosas or pancakes on it without worrying about sticking.

2. Here is a quick hack for making the Perfect Dosa.

- Try making dosas at a low flame. This would ensure that your Kalai (Tin Coating) lasts long and gives you the best dosas!

- Season the tawa with oil on low flame and rub the surface with an onion or a potato to ensure the dosa doesn't stick.

- You should use a wooden spatula to avoid scratching the kalai from the tawa.

7. What is the best way to clean Brass and Copper utensils?

You can use a normal dishwashing soap to clean the utensils from the inside and Pitambari or a paste made from Flour (Atta), Vinegar/lemon Juice, and salt can be applied on the outside to retain the shine of the utensils.

  • 1. The silver lining on the utensil's inner side is tin-coating/Kalai. It is a temporary coating of Malaysian tin used to cook food in brass and copper utensils without any worry. If you notice the tin-coating wearing off, don't worry; you can head over to our DIY Kalai Kit and redo the Kalai at home.

  • 2. Since brass and copper are good conductors of heat, cook food on medium to low flame. This would also help you to save gas. They are an intelligent step towards sustainability.
